The xyz's of a purposeful life

Living purposefully remains a mystery to a whole lot of people yet unraveling your purpose can be one of the most sensational moments of your life. Its in human nature to encounter impediments but they should never be a stumbling block to this beautiful and amazing journey of self discovery. All the same, you don't have to feel incompetent or rather impractical just because you are yet to unfold this mystery. You probably are yet to do so due to the unconscious lack of will power(at least you can work on this),or may be you are in denial(by this i mean, you probably have looming signs of  what could be your purpose but behind your mind,an uncertain voice dissuades you).

I personally had an interesting self-discovery moment of my purpose, after soul searching for long.It all happened a while ago, after reading a very informative book on the ''fear of success''...it provided deep insight on how one should fight back his or her fears in order to acknowledge success. The book basically pointed out that many people fail to find satisfaction in success due to the impending fear of the society. Most people associate their success with the ''pleasing principle'' of the society...in other words,i have to please the society so as to feel successful.I was a victim of such but not anymore!!This amazing book happened to be an eye opener besides challenging me to face my fears. This is when i confronted my denial and fully accepted the fact that i had great passion in volunteering.I finally had the courage to face the bull of fear by its horns.Better still,i have come to terms with the fact that i do not need approval from the society to to do what i love most.I have therefore set aside time to help my community and i can't describe the fulfillment.

Well, you don't have to live in that world of uncertainties anymore because you just arrived at the right destination for this treasure hunt. All you need to do is to set your mind free of those barriers that derail you from figuring out what you are meant for in life.I strongly believe that each and every single human being has got a God given purpose. Its just that the realization of such callings unwinds differently for every person.

Therefore,no matter how disappointing life is sometimes, remember all is not lost.Always remind yourself that there is light at the end of that dark tunnel.
Quit thinking of what people will say.So what if the society disregards your passion? The only room you should give to the society is that of inspiration.Any fulfillment that comes with it should be the one approval you ought to care about.
Do what you love even if there are no physical rewards. It does not have to be outrageous, instead its weight should be felt as a result of the impact it has on people's lives.
With these few steps you will find your misplaced purpose.
Do not carry your God given gift to the grave, instead let it bear ceaseless fruits.

                                                           With love,
                                                         Ruth Mwaura...
